Treasures From the Attic

Hub and I have the unhappy task of cleaning out his parent's home and putting it on the market, as they've both passed away.  The family has held onto the house for a few years, trying to decide what to do with it.  As much as we'd love to move in, our finances won't permit it.  Also we'd have to give up our little House from 1800, that we've worked so hard to score and to improve, so we've been going through items in the attic, deciding which to keep, which to sell, which to donate.  Here are a few of the treasures we've found that I just can't part with.

I'm not sure what the little divided box was originally intended for, but I just know I can find a use for it.

I've always had a soft spot for old glass.  These remind me of the Wheatenware that Mom had when I was a kid.  I have yet to research and find out what they really are.

Pretty sure these are hobnail milkglass.  Vintage or reproduction.  I'm not sure.

I just love this old picnic basket.  I want to do some kind of treatment on it, but I haven't decided what yet.

This has been an emotional process.  Somehow hanging onto a few pieces of my mother-in-law's past makes me feel better.  She was a wonderful, kind and caring person.  I still miss her everyday.
